Did Scientology Create "Bomb Threat" Video Used In Clearwater Injunction Case?
There has been much speculation about the origins of the "Anonymous threatens to bomb Scientology" video which showed up a few weeks ago.
Here's what I know. When the video first appeared, I was alerted to it when I was reading an Anonymous forum. What happened next went something like this:
*Video appears, posted in forums, flagged as important
*Anonymous asked EVERYONE seeing it to report to the FBI (or email them which I did, using my name and information) contact YouTube, and flag as a violation. Many, many people from Anonymous did this, I SAW THEM.
*They denounced the acts, and then immediately called the media to alert them to the threat and to deny any involvement
The media people they talked to said the Church of Scientology had alerted them when the video first went up. We don't know if the CoS contacted the FBI first, prior to contacting the media, but we do know that they had contacted the media BEFORE Anonymous did, because Anonymous was busy contacting the FBI and requesting YouTube take the video down.
I feel completely and emphatically sure that Anonymous as an entity was not responsible in any way for this video. I can't say the same about the Church of Scientology.
There's also another caveat to all of this, I've had several sources pass this information on to me, this is of course not at this time verifiable as true, but we will follow up as more information emerges.
There was a video posted by "Anonymous" that was blatantly not from an Anon as it mentioned bomb threats and other harm promised to Scientology members, posted on YouTube. It was flagged by Anon members and removed after about an hour or two after its posting. End of story, obviously just some jerk off wanting to cause trouble and now they're done.
