Leonardo DiCaprio Sacrifices Trees To Save Polar Bears - Page 2
Inside the envelope were a one-page pitch letter from DiCaprio and a two-page pitch letter from NRDC president Frances Beinecke; a flyer for a free "Save the Polar Bear!" tote bag; a donation form/petition to the secretary of the interior, urging him to protect the polar bear as an endangered species; and a return envelope.
I guess it isn't "junk mail" when it's one's pet project or about something you believe in. After all, what could be better than saving the polar bears? Is it worth it to kill a few trees for something you really, really believe in?

Look, I don't want the polary bears to die either, especially not the one in my Fridgitydaire (and if you got that you know your stuff). But seriously. I honestly think that Leo and his green buddies truly believe that it doesn't qualify as "junk mail" if it's about a project that is majorly super important. It isn't like we live in the 21st Century and have things like email and websites and television and cellphone videos and stuff to spread the word about important-type things.
Maybe we should all mail Leo letters reminding him of how horrible it is to waste paper.
