Lindsay Lohan: "I Have Good People In My Life Now"
As we reported earlier, Lindsay Lohan is out of rehab, and she sounds like she is in a much better place now (figuratively and literally):
"Going out all the time was very self-destructive," the 21-year-old admits. But can the former Hollywood wild child resist slipping back into her habits? "The biggest thing is not being in LA and staying away from the nightlife," she says. Besides a change of scenery - she's in the process of moving into a swank New York City condo -Â Lindsay tells In Touch she's cleaning house when it comes to her friends. "I have good people in my life now. I am surrounded by people that don't use me and who love me for me," she says.
I just can't believe the change in Lindsay in just a few short months. This could be the best publicity that Cirque Lodge could ever get (although I know they didn't do it for the publicity, this could show other people who deal with the same things as Lindsay that this place can help, it isn't just hype). She's gone from a party animal wild child, passed out in the front seat of her friend's car, and chasing her former assistant through the streets, to looking and sounding cleaner and better than she has in years. I, for one, am truly impressed.
However, I do realize that it is one thing to say how changed you are when you're sitting in a pastoral setting, surrounded by nature, far away from the bright lights and leeching friends, and it's quite another thing to live it long-term. Only time will tell if Lindsay is as serious about staying clean and sober as she is right now. Battling addiction is something you do every minute, you cannot let your guard down even for a second, and I'm sure Lindsay knows this. However, if she continues with this outlook, the prognosis is good.
