Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood Tries Rehab Again
On the heels of his escaping to Ireland with a pretty young thang and going on a massive bender, Ronnie Wood has apparently re-entered rehab in an attempt to straighten out his life:
His spokeswoman said: 'Following Ronnie's continued battle with alcohol he has entered a period of rehab.'His close family and friends say he is seeking help and look forward to his recovery.' [...]
Fears were raised last week for the health of the Rolling Stone, who had only recently come out of rehab.
It seems that the girl, Ekaterina Ivanova, might not be a fling after all, but somebody to drink with:
A source close to the guitarist said previously that Wood met the teenager in a bar 'boozed out of his mind'.She said: 'This is all connected with his drinking. He's drinking two bottles of vodka a day.
'He's not himself. She's (Ivanova) a drinking buddy. It was a party, all of that.
'It's all very booze-connected.'
She added that he had just come out of rehab a few weeks before his daughter Leah got married last month.
His wife has decided to end their marriage, but whether she goes through with it remains to be seen. Regardless of whether or not the relationship with the girl was sexual or not, running off to Ireland with a girl young enough to be his daughter certainly looks bad on the surface. Now, it seems that the girl has gone into heat fallen in love with the guitarist, complicating things further. What a mess.
I sincerely hope he can conquer his demons, kick this horrible addiction to the curb, and emerge from rehab ready to straighten out his life. It isn't hopeless, it can be done.
