Uganda is a landlocked nation in Eastern Africa nestled on the northern banks of the vast Lake Victoria.

Although the country has a tumultuous recent history, today Uganda is a peaceful and progressive nation which is experiencing relative prosperity thanks to its natural resources and tourism industry.

Uganda is becoming an increasingly popular destination for safari holidays particularly gorilla trekking experiences. The Southern forests of Uganda and the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest especially are home to over half of the entire planet's population of Mountain Gorilla.

The capital of Uganda is Kampala located centrally on the shores of Lake Victoria.
