Twittercide usually refers to the act of deleting or wiping out your Twitter Page, effectively committing social network suicide on Twitter. Sadly, just a few days ago an 18 year-old woman, Ashley Billasano did the real deal.

Map of Texas with FlagIn Houston, Texas Ashley did not show up at Rosenberg's BF Terry High School Tuesday morning. Instead, she started twittering. She tweeted that there was so much more she wanted to do. Ashley went on to tweet 144 times over the course of 6 hours.

During those tweets, she claimed that she was molested and forced into prostitution. She tweeted about her ill-conceived decision to deal with her pain, the first time she tried to commit suicide.

“I went to the bathroom and locked the door”

“I took apart a razor. I did what I had to do to forget. I swear after that night I was never the same”

She tweeted about telling her boyfriend about her ordeal.

“I remember telling my closest teacher and CPS and the police detectives”

“I remember having to tell them everything”

According to Fox in Houston, Chief Craig Brady with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Department, Ashley made “some allegations of sexual abuse” a year ago in Williamson County near Austin. A grand jury investigation lead to no indictment.

Ashley tweeted that the failure of the police profoundly impacted her life.

“Weeks passed, then I got the call. They said sorry but there isn't enough evidence I hung up”

“That's when I changed I didn't care anymore and the people I was meeting gave me no reason to”

Over 500 people were following Ashley on her twitter account when she tweeted her last two times.

“I'd love to hear what you have to say but I wont be around”

“Take two, I hope I get this right.”

Unfortunately, Ashley got it wrong. She committed suicide by suffocation, the real deal.
