Android Market Growth and Downloads History [Infographic]
Over the past few days this week, Google has put on a great promotion in the Android Market to help push the amount of downloads over 10 Billion. Apptly (see what I did there) called the "10 Billion Promo", Android users have been able to select from Top Paid Featured Apps of all sorts, 10 new each day, for only $0.10! Titles that would normally be $4.99, are marked down to encourage more users to grab them at the low prices, and it's working! I think I've purchased about half of them already.
There are now 7 days left after today, bringing us to the end of the promotion next Friday December 16th 2011. I can't wait to see what's coming up on sale for the rest of the next week. Have a look at the infographic below. It tells us what apps are mostly popular, as well as where the most apps are being downloaded. If I were a developer for Android apps, I'd want to pay attention to this infoformation.
