Apple iPad 3 with LTE and A6 Quad-Core Announcement March 7th
According to a report from iMore, sources have it on good word that the next generation Apple iPad 3 will be announced at an event scheduled for March 7th 2012. Although invites have not been sent out to the media for this event yet, iMore has called previous information ahead of schedule and been accurate. The last time they made such a claim was with the iPhone 4S, including the announcement date and spec sheet, prior to media invites being sent.
9to5mac has done a bit of research as well to see if March 7th may be an available date for the Yerba Buena Center located in San Fransisco, California. As it turns out, the center's online schedule shows that March 7th 2012 has no scheduled events and is available. This is the same center that Apple announced the first iPad and the iPad 2, so it stands to reason that they'll follow suit, and announce there again.
As reported earlier regarding the iPad 3 specs to be expected, iMore has stated that the Retina display will be present, along with an A6 quad-core processor and 4G/LTE built in at launch. Should make for an exciting day in the first week of March, as investors are already going nuts over Apple stock.Source - iMore
